London Under Snow (1914-1918)

London Under Snow - merry snow ball fights and sports on Hampstead Heath, London. Lovely footage of soldiers in overcoats having fun in the snow. Several shots of them sliding down a small hill on sledges (sleds) in pairs and singly. Looks like good fun! There are also some women and children further down the slope throwing snowballs at each other and the men on the sledges. Then M/S of a group of soldiers, children and women having a snowball fight. Cataloguer’s note: this is a really nice film! Quite poignant, when you think of what was probably in store for these soldiers at the front. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
