A brand-new song by The Four Fathers, an urgent country rock eco-anthem, about how we have run out of time to deal with the ever-increasing severity of the climate crisis, while pretending that the “business as usual“ of 21st century capitalism can continue.
The song was recorded at a rehearsal in Music Room London in New Cross on Sunday, and it came to lead singer Andy Worthington last month after two days at ’The Big One’, the festival of protest in central London organised by Extinction Rebellion with the support of over 200 other groups and organisations. This was only the second time we had rehearsed it (and the first time with our harmonica player Andrew), so please excuse any rough edges.
We look forward playing it live soon, along with a raft of other songs dealing with the climate crisis. As Andy says, “It doesn’t matter what your job is, or what your hobbies are, everyone also needs to be a climate activist.“
Thanks to Tyler Worthington (The Wiz-RD) f
