J.S. Bach Wachet Auf “Sleepers Awake“ Chorale (BWV 140) | Howard Levy Harmonica
Bach composed hundreds of cantatas, but the Chorale from “Sleepers, awake” is perhaps his best-known and most beloved cantata tune. It has long been one of my favorites. This might be the 1st time that anyone has ever played Bach’s music using a handheld distortion mic.
Playing his amazing winding line on one harmonica, and the beautiful chorale melody on a second harp, using a handheld distortion mic, was a thrilling experience for me.
Hope it is as inspiring for you to watch as it was for me to play.
