Elvis Presley - Banter/I’ve Lost You - 7 August 1970 Stage Rehearsal - Partially with new audio

Another interesting video which caught some back and forth banter between Elvis and The Memphis Mafia, primarily some joking at the expense of Lamar Fike. This precedes a rehearsal of a new addition to his set list for the upcoming Las Vegas engagement. The song in question, “I’ve Lost You“ was recorded just two months earlier in Nashville Unfortunately this rehearsal is not complete, as filming seems to halt just as Elvis begins the second verse. The audio recording also befell the same fate, as it cuts after just fifty seconds into the song. On the new Follow That Dream, “That’s The Way It Is Rehearsals“ set, the remainder of the track is filled with the banter that precedes “Mary in The Morning“. Disappointing that the new set did not reveal that the remainder of the track had been sourced. However, the video is still an interesting and amusing watch.
