“How High the Moon“ Tim Watson on U-Bass

I see some U-bass demos on youtube but not many clear performances. This is one of the coolest instruments out there and I don’t see too many people playing it as if they are bassists (as opposed to ukulele players), and most have that clicky toy sound. With the right equipment and practice to get the right touch, this instrument has the potential to be totally viable on any gig where you would normally have upright bass (not to repalce it on “pure“ jazz gigs). And many situations where you’d normally have an electric. This gig for example: jazz, latin, pop, rock, RB, and funk played all in a 4 hour gig at a nice restaurant with no instrument switches. and this U-Bass does better that either only an upright or only an electric bass guitar.
