Singapore and China can complement each other in economic arena: DPM Wong

Singapore and China have much to offer each other, said Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong as he wrapped up a four-day trip to China. He said Singapore’s strengths include its economic capabilities as well as its social and community practices, such as how it upgrades housing estates to cater to an ageing population - which it has in common with China. While Singapore’s investments into Chinese real estate have slowed, Mr Wong said there were other areas where it was strong, with China maintaining strengths in advanced manufacturing and the green economy.
