ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT: November 8

ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT: November 8 Gaza Strip The IDF, supported by armour, continues its ground invasion of Gaza from three directions. In the northwest of the enclave, fighting is taking place along the coast and on the border of the Al-Shati region. To the east, the IDF is trying to expand its zone of control on the outskirts of Beit Hanoun. Hamas militants, in turn, carry out ambushes and fire rockets at IDF strongholds. The Palestinians use the city’s network of subways and urban labyrinths to attack from the rear. The success of this tactic is measured by the images of Merkava tanks destroyed by Al-Yassin grenades. South of Gaza, the IDF makes its way to the Ar-Rashid Highway. Despite premature and victorious reports from the Israeli authorities about the encirclement of the city, there is no objective evidence of this. From time to time, the Israelis open a humanitarian corridor along the Salah al-Din Highway for refugees. In this way, the IDF tries to minimize the risks to its reputation and facilitate ground operations. Additionally, the Israeli Air Force attacks vital infrastructure in the city, “squeezing” its residents. Amid the humanitarian problem in Gaza, more than 60% of medical facilities have already stopped functioning. Israel The Hamas resistance does not stand aside and launches rockets against populated areas of Israel West Bank The ISF continues to repress local residents. In the Shuafat refugee camp, the house of thirteen-year-old Muhammad Zalbani, who attacked a border guard earlier this year, exploded. Northern Israel On Israel’s northern border, the situation has not changed. Hezbollah bombs IDF strongholds Syria and Iraq In Syria and Iraq, pro-Iranes continue to show limited activity. Several drones attacked US targets in both countries, and US positions at the Conoco refinery were also targeted by rocket attacks.
