Polymer Clay Tutorial 59: Working with Clay Canes

Hi Weekend Crafter! I’m back from my short creativity break =) For this week, I’m working with polymer clay canes. A polymer clay cane is a log of clay that has a design that runs through the entire log. As you slice the log, an identical design is revealed. I bought premade canes from a local maker. You can check out her IG account @purplelulggageph. She makes amazing flower and petal canes with a lot of detail. In this tutorial, I also show a simple tutorial on how to make a basic leaf cane. But mostly, I demonstrate how I make a floral slab using premade canes. It’s a lot of fun because you can do so many combinations with the canes. I hope that you enjoy watching this video.
