Upgrade Your Noodles: Turn Instant Ramen into a Tasty Chow Mein
Chow Mein is a simple but delicious dish. And you don’t even need fancy noodles. Embrace your inner student and enjoy this special instant ramen chow mein. A 45p packet mixed with some classic asian flavours and you’ve got a stylish meal!
Instant Ramen Chow Mein Ingredients:
2 Packets Instant Ramen Noodles (placed in boiling water for 3 minutes)
4 Spring Onions (whites sliced thin, green tops chopped)
1 Red Pepper (sliced thin)
1 Carrot (sliced thin)
5 Lettuce Leaves (sliced thin)
Sauce (combine all):
1.5 tbsp Rice Vinegar
2.5 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 clove Garlic (minced)
Heat a wok over high heat and add a splash of sesame oil
Add carrots, red pepper and spring onions whites and fry for 5 min.
Add ramen noodles and toss to combine. Pour sauce around edges and toss to combine again.
Fry for another minute and then turn off heat and add lettuce and a dash of soy sauce.
Toss to combine and serve with spring onion greens
