On board a Nato surveillance plane monitoring Russian activity in Ukraine - BBC News

As Russian activity intensifies in Ukraine and eastern Europe, Special Airborne Warning and Control System (Awacs) planes police Nato’s borders from where they can monitor events. The flights are known as Nato’s ”eyes in the sky” as they scan the surrounding airspace and ground activity. The BBC has been given rare access to a surveillance flight on the Polish border with Ukraine and Belarus.
