He sits there on his ever-rotting throne, looking out across his forever dark domain. Doors creak from an unfelt breeze and candlelight flickers on candleless altars. A child’s voice echoes through the long-abandoned halls and he is reminded of the place as it once it should have been. A place of worship, hope, and silent prayer. All that remains of those days are the bones scattered across his great cathedral’s floor, a daily reminder of his failure and of what now sleeps in the deepest depths of the catacombs. memories of footsteps but real, mortal feet echoing their way towards him... He feels his body move, driven by an unending hunger, his mind receding and being taken over by that all-consuming drive to feed. He knows that this has happened many times before, each time he has awoken surrounded by those he has killed. Adventurers, thieves, paladins.. it matters not why they come to this place, he must kill them and feed on them... his cursed undeath compels him to do so... “Perhaps this time I won’t wake up,“ he thinks as his body lunges forward into a mad dash towards his prey. ----*---- In this ambient video, you can hear sounds of mysterious footsteps, howling wind, creaking doors, bats and mice, echoing music, and more.
