Tchaikovsky. Piano concerto #1, movements 2 & 3, two pianos

Московская консерватория It’s so nostalgic to go through your old recordings... This one was taped about 14-15 years ago. It’s one of my exams at the Moscow Conservatory. There is a little story behind it. My son Alex was just a few months old back then and because of the circumstances I came to just 2 or 3 lessons before the exam (instead of having lessons every week during the whole semester). So, my professor didn’t want to let me play at the exam. He had his reasons - I wasn’t quite prepared and confident. But I still had a few days left to prepare, so I convinced him to give me a chance.
