Peeps At Leslie Henson (1926)

No title. Leslie Henson on stage as Caddie-Master “Kid Boots“ - this is also the name of the play (at the Winter Gardens Theatre in London). He shows a lady golfer his swing technique. She has a go but the sleeves and scarf of her dress get in the way. Leslie pulls a face in C/U. She takes a shot and the ball travels in a bizarre fashion, missing the hole by a long chalk. Leslie does a silly dance to celebrate her misfortune. The Lady Doctor played by Miss Diana Wilson gets her own back when Leslie comes up for treatment. She sits him in a chair and waves a finger at him. She then turns up the dials on a machine which seem to give him electric shocks. He shuffles around on the floor on his bottom, picks up a stool and rubs his backside with it (!) Strangely enough, he goes back for more! Was item in Eve’s Film Review issue 248. Note: part of this story (including the title) features in “This Was Yesterday“ and is additional material to this negative. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITIS
