Porangui Live Looping :: Água Doce (Song to Oxum)

This an excerpt from a live concert Poranguí performed in Sedona Fall 2015. This particular song is dedicated to Mamãe Oxum (Mother Oxum), the goddess of Love and of the sweet waters (Água Doce). It is inspired by a deep respect for the sacred waters within & between us that support all life. In his signature World Soul style using hardware loopers and fx pedals, Poranguí bridges worlds building the entire soundscape using only indigenous instruments & his voice while improvising with the energy in the space & the audience. No two performances are ever alike.
