Containers Transformed into Libraries

We are opening our very first container library at Muskut Primary School in the Kerio Valley. Housing the entire contents of a library in a retrofitted shipping container, we believe that container libraries are an answer to placing libraries in areas where building a permanent structure is either not possible (e.g. in slum or refugee areas, in places where land ownership is not clear, in areas where building supplies cannot reach) or not financially practical.
