An adorable snoozing Henry the polar bear

💤 Polar bears, like humans, can sleep for 7 to 8 hours a day. In the summer, to conserve energy, they may sleep even more! Henry chose a sweet spot by some trees to make his ’day-bed’, a temporary spot to sleep. Only pregnant female polar bears construct and use dens for long periods, all other polar bears just pick a spot (they may dig out a spot in the snow) and that’s where they snooze! 💙 Learn more about the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat, their bears, the work they do and how you can support them at 🍉 They currently have their watermelon fundraiser running, where each $20 donation enters you into a contest to win a beautiful art print. See their facebook page or website for more details.
