The Construction and the Sinking of the Vasa

Ordered by Gustavus Adolphus in 1625 and launched in 1628 the Vasa was one of the largest and most powerful warships in the World. On her maiden voyage she sank in the Stockholm bay. The Vasa was the second out of three massive warships built for the swedish navy. Mars in 1563, Vasa in 1628, and Kronan in 1668.
