SERENGETI SUNBEAMS Fun Hong Kong X Japan super-fusion crossover jingle with Chris, Okapy and Michiru! One day on Safari we heard a groove coming from the Earth itself. We joined in and the rest is history. All the beasts of the wild joined us in harmony, grooving in 13/8. 😅 I asked Chris to come up with a one minute drum structure. I slapped some riffs on the top and it became this. Michiru and Okapy joined the fray! For any musicians who are interested, it’s in 13/8 and I come in first playing 13 groups of 6x 16th noted until everything joins up on 1 for the solo to start. So 13x 6/16 is equal to 3x 13/8 of course, if you do the math. Although I am not one to breakdown that deeply.
