Horizontal Log, from Spring to Autumn

The Log hive provides a feral-like nest environment and offers insight into the natural gestalt of the “bien“ (oneness of the nest). Comb, propolis and the initial cluster speak through their form and open a new understanding of the bien. Sound and scent are additional facets of the feral “bien“. The design tries to offer features which can be fully controlled by the bees.
