Launch of the 2022 report by the High-Level Commission (Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 third anniversary)

Join the High-Level Commission on the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 Follow-up and its co-Chairs, H.E. Dr. Jakaya Kikwete and H.E. the Right Honorable Michaëlle Jean, on the commemoration of the third anniversary of the Nairobi Summit and the launch of the Commission’s second report. During the in-person event in Zanzibar, United Republic of Tanzania, the Commission will report on gains and gaps in the progress of the 12 Global Commitments contained in the Nairobi Statement on ICPD25 and the importance of locating women’s reproductive choices within a broader analysis of the racial, economic, cultural, and structural constraints on women’s power to Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of UNFPA. The Commission intends for this report and panel discussion to illuminate a path forward to achieve the commitments through a sexual and reproductive justice framework.
