In honor of Dave Brubeck, who passed away December 5, 2012. This song was actually written in 1959 by the Quartet’s sax player, Paul Desmond, but it became the iconic song associated with Dave. Originally composed for piano, sax, bass and drums. It is in 5/4 time, which was unusual then and now, but you shouldn’t let that intimidate you; if you keep the main vamp in your head, you won’t go wrong!
