Gun At The Junk - Ken Hackathorn & Paul Howe Discuss The Appendix Carry Position
See Part 1 of the discussion, “Gun Gadgets“ here
Two of the top trainers in the nation, Ken Hackathorn and Paul Howe, discuss concealed carry positions for self-defense. Ken and Paul address the contentious issue of appendix carry, emphasizing safety concerns and the need for proper training. Additionally, they touch on the fallacy of pursuing a one-second draw and underscore the significance of accuracy over speed in real-world situations. Ken and Paul discuss various ready gun positions, emphasizing the importance of adapting these positions to different scenarios, whether civilian or law enforcement. The discussion extends to handling problematic students and the importance of anchoring learned techniques through consistent practice.
