The Anti-Defamation League, or ADL, is known for its tenacity in fighting antisemitism in all its forms, so it’s no surprise that the ADL years ago identified Ukraine’s neo-Nazi Azov Battalion as an enemy of the Jewish people. Yet now that Israel and Ukraine are aligned in the war against Russia, the ADL has had a “come to Jesus” moment and determined that Azov is not, in fact, infested with violent antisemitic extremists after all.
