We spoke with Dr. Qandil at Gaza Nasser Hospital, who warned that Gaza’s hospitals could become morgues if the emergency generators run out of fuel. In the race against the clock, doctors are also struggling with a shortage of essential medical supplies caused by Israel’s “total blockade“ of the Gaza Strip while the bombardment continues. The UN condemned repeated Israeli evacuation orders to 22 hospitals in Gaza while they treated thousands of seriously injured victims. Gaza doctors told us, “We are not leaving and will die in the hospital [...] We have been given two hours to evacuate.“ The UN warns, “Hospital directors and health workers are now facing an agonizing choice: abandon critically ill patients amid a bombing campaign, put their own lives at risk while remaining on-site to treat patients, or endanger their patients’ lives while attempting to transport them to facilities that have no capacity to receive them.“ #source Источник: Slavyangrad
