The MPG/ESO telescope at the La Silla Observatory in Chile was used to deliver a new stunning view of the nebula (also known as Gum 56). For over millions of years, stars have been born from the gas of the nebula and in turn they have re-seeded the area through the course of the their lives and deaths. -- Full Story:
