Artist: Alan Kwan Artistic & Engineering Adviser: Bjorn Sparrman Music: Space Lion by The Seatbelts Description: The Flying Umbrella Project is an aerial robotic performance consisting of two artificial flying creatures in the form of umbrella mating in the air. As the canopy of the umbrella severely hinders airflow into the propellers, they exist as tragic, extremely non-efficient man-made lifeforms that struggle with wind and gravity. During the performance, these flying creatures become emotiona
