Fatal Heart Attacks More Common on Monday: Study A new research has shown that fatal heart attacks are more likely to occur on a Monday. The study by Belfast Health & Social Care Trust and Royal College of Surgeons analysed data from 10,528 patients in Ireland between 2013-2018. Researchers studied heart attack type STEMI or ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction. The results showed that the likelihood of a heart attack occurring on a Monday was 13% greater than expected.
