Valeri Glava Excerpt 3

Recorded at the Venetian in Vegas, Valeri is one talented violinist/fiddler. Not only is he of the virtuostic ability to play with any symphony, his repertoire includes a range from country to rock, standards to jazz, and who knows what else. Playing for crowds of tourists from around the world, he quickly adapts, playing the Chinese or Korean national anthem, or does a riff--as he did when I was there--of Carlos Santana’s “Oye Como Va“ in the middle of the more expected (for this location) “O Solo Mio“. It was a blessing to accidentally see this man in action. Or maybe it was Providence.
