Abstract TV Waveform Films with Electronic Music

Excerpts from 12 experimental shorts featuring super 8, video, specially adapted circuitry and electronic music soundtracks created with self-built Hellitron tone generators. Since the early 1990s Helliwell has been experimenting with modified televisions, waveform patterns, sound visualisation and creative soldering. This compilation brings together films made between 1997 and 2016, which highlight his work with sound activated imagery, direct animation, sound collage and electronic music.
