Mingus to Meteor Crater 6-7-13. A hang gliding film by Greg Porter
Climbed to 18,000 ft several times in this 67 mile flight from Mingus Mountain in Arizona over Sedona to Meteor Crater, formed 50,000 years ago when a meteorite impacted the earth, leaving a crater almost a mile across and 550 ft deep. The oxygen system was a definite requirement for this flight and worked flawlessly. A 12 to 20 mph crosswind hampered the attempt to travel more miles in the 4 hours and 45 minutes this flight took.
