Jethro Tull "Aqualung" REACTION & ANALYSIS by Vocal Coach / Opera Singer

One of the pioneers of progressive rock, I finally get to see Jethro Tull, and why our Patrons voted this song to the top of their March suggestion list. This performance by Ian Anderson and the rest of Jethro Tull was not only an audio feast, but a visual spectacle with such high quality for 1982 that I would have to thank the broadcaster ZDF as well for such an amazing job with the visual production. “Aqualung“ deals with our reaction to the homeless population, and is a guilt ridden song of confusion, guilt, distaste, awkwardness and the rest of our feelings. Having very close people in my life having lived through homelessness, the lyrics strike a particular chord with me.
