Brahms - Albumblatt in A minor - Alex Alguacil

Johannes Brahms - Albumblatt in A minor Alex Alguacil, piano Live at “Nits de classica“ Festival in Girona, Spain The newly discovered piece by Brahms was composed in June 1853 as a contribution to Arnold Wehner’s “Album Amicorum“, a guest album containing entries from important contemporary composers. No source indicates that this little piece was intended for publication since it seems just a rough sketch. Twelve years later he re-used it in the trio section of the Scherzo movement of the Horn Trio Op. 40. ---- OTHER BEAUTIFUL AND RARE PIANO MUSIC Richard Strauss: Andante, teneramente Richard Strauss: “Allegro molto“, from Fünf Klavierstücke, op. 3 Brahms: Albumblatt in A minor Anatol Lyadov: Prelude in B minor Richard Strauss: Ständchen (Serenade) Richard Strauss: Beside the spring
