Rainbow - Live in Tokyo, Japan (Evening Show) 12/16/1976

Happy 40th Anniversary Rainbow fans! I have already uploaded this concert before. This is Rainbow performing live at the Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday December 16th, 1976 Around 6pm. Most of the songs from this show come from the On Stage Deluxe Edition, released in November 2012. The missing parts such as “Jingle Bells“, part of the “Over the Rainbow“ intro, “Stargazer“, “Still I’m Sad“, and the “Over the Rainbow“ outro are from the Mr. Peach recording bootleg “The Closing Night.“ From this show, the “Blues“ and “Starstruck“ were used for the “On Stage“ live album. Also the ending of “Catch the Rainbow“ where Ronnie finishes the song with his soulful voice was spliced with “Catch the Rainbow“ from the Third Osaka show. This was the final and last time this lineup of Rainbow ever performed On Stage. Sadly, its been 40 years since these men played on the same stage together and will continue to be that way. Let us not forget the wonderful classical symphonic rock these gentlemen have left behind. Thank you Ronnie, Ritchie, Cozy, Jimmy, Tony, John Moore, and Mr. Udo for making these recordings happen! Ronnie Dio (.) (✝) - Vocals Ritchie Blackmore - Guitar Tony Carey - Keyboards; Orchestron; Synthesizer Jimmy Bain (.) (✝) - Bass Cozy Powell (.) (✝) - Drums
