Miniature Railways of Great Britain Thorpe Light Railway September 2021

This is another railway I have been trying to visit for a few years. Ever since I saw the photo’s of the railway over grown and it was nice to see it as it is are celebrating 50 years this was the last open day of the year so they had two visiting loco’ Joe from the Sherwood Forest Railway and Cagney from the Rhyl M.R. The track gauge is 15 inch gauge. We have included a view of the old Lido which in it’s day was crowded with swimmers of all ages. The field between the river and the railway packed with people enjoying picnics and train rides. Nice to get a steam fix over the weekend.
