Archival footage shot by an Austrian filmmaker while visiting Brazil in 1977. It contains stock footage of Rio de Janeiro: (00:00 - 00:50) begins at Praia do Flamengo avenue, then goes thru Aterro do Flamengo, crosses Túnel do Pasmado (There is another tunnel to be crossed before reaching to Copacabana—it’s the Túnel Novo, that doesn’t appear in the footage) and reaches Copacabana (00:51 - 04:48) Ipanema Beach and Vieira Souto Avenue. In the sequence, several daily scenes on Praça General Osório, one of the two main squares in Ipanema, and where many craftsmen show and sell their art.
