Cases of discrimination on the rise as fears grow over coronavirus

The World Health Organization has declared an international health emergency over the coronavirus, concerned that as the virus spreads internationally, countries are not prepared to deal with the outbreak. WHO’s emergency committee has cautioned countries against stigmatising behaviour, as increased global discrimination is being reported against people from China, where the virus originated.
