Triple Homicide Investigation

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: | 9:05 PM LOCATION: Imperial Hwy & San Gabriel River Trail AREA/CITY: Downey DETAILS: Three people are dead in a reported shooting at a large homeless encampment Saturday night Downey FD was summoned to the San Gabriel River for a reported shooting PD arrived and advised FD they located at least three victims suffering wounds from a shooting FD paramedics arrived and determined all three to be deceased There are no further details at this time due to police radio encryption, which would’ve include any suspect info or potential motive. A red van was seen parked near the crime scene on the bike trail. The incident appeared to have taken place at a homeless encampment, directly underneath the 105 freeway. Crime scene tape surrounded the encampment Per Downey FD dispatch over the phone, they could only confirm that there was no transports made by paramedics Per FD radio traffic, all three patients met 814 criteria, which according to the LA County Prehospital Care Policy 814, is the pronouncement of death in the field by a paramedic Two people were seen being questioned by police though their roles weren’t clear Injured?
