Emily Builds a Sailboat! - CUT IN HALF?! - CLC Eastport Nesting Pram (Ep 7)

Girls can build stuff, too! Support this and other projects via our Patreon page: Between September and November 2019, Emily built a lightweight wooden boat, which will be used as a sailing, rowing, and motoring dinghy for S/V Temptress. This model is an Eastport Nesting Pram (plans by Chesapeake Light Craft - ). It will weigh approximately 75 lbs, and be just under 8 feet long, made mainly of okoume. It is built using a “stitch and glue“ method. In this video, Emily and Clark mill and install the outwhales/gunnels (different from the original plans), and Emily fits and installs the forward bulkhead and seat, the daggerboard trunk, and the transom doublers, and then the boat is cut in half. We are incredibly grateful to Chesapeake Light Craft for sending us free plans for this dinghy ($89 value), and helping us out along the way, so we could share the build process with our YouTube viewers. Thank you to Ed and the team at CLC! Want to follow this buil
