No titles. Acrobatic dancer Winnie Ryland. Pathe Studio, London. Winnie Ryland, described by the narrator as the “nearest human approach to india rubber“, performs her dance act of acrobatic and contortionist moves to music. She wears a shiny leotard costume with little net skirt decorated with spangles, and a little black cap with diamante decoration. Fabulous art deco set - making use of lots of foil! The narrator describes how Winnie has been “doing this sort of thing since she was a child, turning and twisting. She does more good turns a day than the most conscientious boy scout“. This is said over shot of Winnie turning rapid cartwheels (head over heels). Music: ’That Night In June’ comp/pub (?) Merrin. This was originally an item in Pathetone PT 260.
