Christ Ahnsahnghong Brought Us the Tree of Life, Which Gives Eternal Life Only If We Eat From It. Even people who have been attending church for a long time have no idea about the Tree of Life. “Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden . . . In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Ge 2:9). What kind of benefit does the Tree of Life in Eden have? “ ‘[T]ake also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever’ ” (Ge 3:22). The benefit of the Tree of Life is eternal life. However, Adam and Eve could not eat from the Tree of Life because they had committed sin. It is God who blocked the way to the Tree of Life, so that they could not eat from it.
