Blackburn explosion: Two men rushed to hospital after building collapse

Two people were taken to hospital and nearby properties have been evacuated after a gas explosion at a property in Blackburn. Emergency services were alerted to a building collapse just before 8pm on Sunday 18 December 2023 after an issue with gas at a property on London Road triggered an explosion. Lancashire Police said nearby homes had been evacuated and urged people to avoid the area while investigations continue.
