Damian Willemse Tribute | The Lamar Jackson of Rugby

I’ve always been one massive fan of Damian Willemse because of his gifted skillset. He was arguably the best flyhalf prospect in schoolboy history when he was at Paul Roos. The stuff he did was mind blowing. He really reminds me of Lamar Jackson, the QB for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. Both of them did stuff that was unheard of for their young age and both of them faced questions about their playing position when they entered their professional careers. It really would’ve been fun to see Damian play QB in the NFL, I can just imagine the types of RPO’s you can do with him as you QB and his ability to lateral (Offload) The reason he reminds of Lamar is because of his playmaking ability and also his ability to improvise on the field when it’s broken play. I just wish they would keep Damian at Flyhalf because that is by far, his best position. You want him to be the player who has the ball the most in a game because he is truly gifted.
