Introductory intertitle reads: “All you need is one of Mr Buchan’s cold spells.“ Panning shot of a snowy landscape with small waterfall. Panning shots of couples skating on ice. A large group of people form two circles holding hands and skate around in opposite directions. We then see a race for skaters with sails - they look like windsurfers only they are travelling on ice rather than water. Some of the contestants wave as they approach the camera. High angle shot of a ski resort. M/S of two speed skaters racing. The camera follows them around a track. Various shots of the race. Good close-ish shots of the skaters. Shot from the top of a hill where competitors wait to sledge down. Like a bob sleigh run but the contestants ride simple sledges. Various shots of the sledgers. C/U of a sledger taking a spill.
