1882 Le Protector Palm Pistol

A 10 shot, 6mm, 1882 protector palm pistol. This particular model once belonged to Lieutenant-General Henry Hugh Tudor, of the dreaded Black and Tans. It was acquired from his estate when died here in Newfoundland in 1965. Based on his having a weapon like this, he fear of reprisal from the IRA was well founded, as two IRA assassins did come to Newfoundland in search of him in the 1950’s but did not follow through with the plan.
