China writes off Zimbabwes debt in honor of countrys independence celebrations

Marking Zimbabwe’s 44th anniversary of independence, China has written-off a number of the African state’s interest-free loans. While some Western critics accuse China of using loans for political leverage in Africa, Zimbabwean political analyst Kudzai Mutisi says it’s actually Western money that’s dragging the country down.
