Ruslan and Lyudmila, Farlaf’s Rondo

From Mikhail Glinka’s opera, sung by Gennady Bezzubenkov. There are a bunch of versions of this on youtube, but this one is staged and has English subtitles. Farlaf is feeling pretty cocky because the witch Naina has told him she’ll help him get Lyudmila. But! Things don’t go as planned. What a twist! The singer playing Farlaf doesn’t get to do much, but he DOES get to sing this amusing, atypical aria.
