Why Creative AI is a Mirror - Not a Window | David Lim | TEDxYouth@AbbeyParkHS

David will be speaking about why Creative AI is a mirror - Not a window. From ChatGPT to chess bots and image generation, we know that AI has the potential to revolutionize society. However, David warns that these technologies could harm creativity, if we don’t take the right approach. Thankfully, David is excited to share his ideas on the implications of AI in society. Meet David Lim, a Grade 11 student from Abbey Park High School! He will be speaking about the impacts of AI on creativity. David’s greatest inspiration is from the new technology that has been created in today’s world, including artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, and more. David is very passionate about community fundraisers such as Relay for Life and his very own environmental plant fundraiser at Abbey Park! He has showcased this through his role as lead organizer for Abbey Park’s Eureka! Hackathon. He takes interest in understanding the world around him and learning more about himself, as it motivates him to step outside of his comfort zone. In the future, he wants to use his passion for software engineering to create a positive impact on society. He believes that everyone has a responsibility to use their talents and resources to create a positive difference in the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
