Primitive Grilled Fish Wrap from the Ocean

Coastal areas of the oceans often offer the most abundant wild food sources. Fish and mollusks are obvious but one often overlooked food are the various species of marine algae. Kelp is a good survival food and in this video I swim out into the waves in search of giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) and then bring a basket of kelp to my primitive hut where I hang it outside to dry. A few days later I bring a fish I had caught in the surf and wrap it in the dry kelp to grill it on the adobe stove for a healthy dinner.
