Russia displays Western tanks captured in Ukraine as “trophies of the Russian Army“

Moscow rung in the May Day holiday this Wednesday by inviting locals to the opening of an exhibit that features Western tanks and military hardware captured in Ukraine by the Russian army during the countries’ ongoing war. The showcase, known as ‘Trophies of the Russian Army,’ is being held outside of a museum that celebrates the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. According to a statement by the Russian Defence Ministry, it is intended to reassure the Russian population that Western aid will not help Ukraine win the war. “Strength is in the truth. It’s always been that way. In 1943 and today. These war trophies reflect our strength.
