Kevork Andonian’s overture for string orchestra titled “In Festive Commemoration“ performed at Lamon Hall, Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre in Toronto on January 26th, 2024 under the direction of Nurhan Arman. Kevork wrote “In Festive Commemoration” to celebrate Sinfonia Toronto’s 25th anniversary. The piece alludes to various styles and pays homage to the multifaceted repertoire presented by Sinfonia Toronto over its 25-year history.
